At an online event, Dahua Technology successfully launched the four new addition to its Wireless Series. Today, we’ve invited Kayla Song, Product Manager at Dahua Technology, to tell us more about the highlights and value of these new products.

Hello Kayla! Can you describe the new functions of the products?

Hi! Sure. The newly released functions of the Dahua Wireless Series include the one-click proactive call function for true two-way talk of the indoor PT-Hero B1, the Preset Patrol function of Hero and Picoo that can monitor multiple locations with one camera, and the Cube's Magnetic Mounting Base that enhances it flexible installation. These products all support Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth Pairing.

Who can benefit from Dahua Wireless Series product lineup?

Our primary target customer groups include end users such as small and medium-sized business operators and home security-conscious individuals. SMB operators, such as shops, offices, and warehouses, typically require installation of cameras to record events, protect property security, and prevent theft. These customers may span from various industries, including retail, catering, manufacturing, and more. They are located throughout the city and have urgent need for efficient and reliable monitoring solutions.

In addition, home security-conscious individuals are also a significant customer group for us. They desire to install cameras in their homes to monitor the safety of their family and property in real-time. These customers may reside in apartments, villas, or ordinary residential buildings in the city. They prioritize privacy protection while also requiring monitoring equipment that is easy to operate and maintain.

How does the product’s function address user pain points?

After conducting thorough market research and collecting user feedback, we have identified the following three challenges that users face when using the devices. In response, we have optimized and improved the product to address users' concerns.

The first challenge is communication. Previous cameras only allowed users to initiate communication through the mobile app. Our newly released camera, Hero BI, with its One-click Proactive Call function, allows users next to the camera to initiate communication by simply clicking a button on the camera. This enables true two-way communication.

The second challenge is installation. Ensuring ease of installation and flexibility has been a consistent focus for us. With the introduction of the new "Magnetic Base" feature in the Cube A1, the camera can be easily mounted on any magnetic metal surface, providing users with the ability to install and reinstall the camera in order to meet their specific requirements. Moreover, all cameras are equipped with quick-mounting plates, allowing a single person to conveniently install the camera, truly realizing the goal of effortless installation.

The third challenge is monitoring range. We have always strived to achieve a larger and more comprehensive monitoring range. Our newly launched pan-tilt cameras, such as the Hero B1, Picoo A2, and Picoo B1, provide 360-degree seamless monitoring, aiming to provide users with a more comprehensive security guarantee. We have also integrated the "Preset Patrol" function into the Hero B1 and Picoo B1, allowing a single camera to monitor multiple locations cost-effectively.

How do these new cameras enable users to take a proactive approach to security beyond just monitoring?

Our newly launched cameras goes beyond traditional recording and playback functions, incorporating innovative features for a more comprehensive monitoring experience. Aside from the one-click proactive call function that I’ve mentioned, other intelligent functions include AI human detection, pet detection, vehicle detection, preset patrol, sound and light alarms, and more. These capabilities provide users with real-time alerts and quick responses, enabling them to handle and prevent emergencies promptly, rather than just relying on video playback.

The AI-powered human, pet, and vehicle detection features high sensitivity that can accurately identify and differentiate moving humans, pets, and vehicles. Users are immediately notified of any abnormal situation, providing them with a clear understanding of the on-site situation. With the preset patrol function, one camera can effectively monitor multiple locations, which helps reduce the cost of deploying multiple cameras. Users have the flexibility to set multiple preset points and time intervals.

Lastly, the sound and light alarms emit powerful audio and visual signals during critical moments, serving as a deterrent and attracting the attention of nearby individuals, thus effectively preventing potential illegal activities.

Looking ahead, what innovations can we expect from Dahua in the future in terms of wireless security camera technology?

The company's innovation in wireless security camera technology may have the following directions in the future:

1. Advanced wireless transmission technology: With the popularization of new-generation wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi 7 and 5G, future wireless security cameras will be able to achieve higher speeds, higher stability, longer range, and stronger wall-penetrating data transmission capabilities. This will provide a better technological foundation for real-time monitoring, high-definition video quality, and more.

2. Application of artificial intelligence and deep learning: By combining artificial intelligence and deep learning technologies, security cameras in the future will have more powerful intelligence analysis capabilities, such as behavior analysis and anomaly detection. This will provide customers with more accurate and efficient security protection.

3. Smart IoT integration: In the future, we plan to conduct more intelligent integration and interaction with other smart home devices and security systems, such as alarm systems, smoke detectors, fire safety equipment, routers, and more. By interconnecting and collaborating with these devices, a more comprehensive and robust security protection system can be established.

4. Integration with Cloud platforms: the Dahua Wireless Series products will provide a range of subscription-based value-added services such as video storage, device control, abnormal event alerts, and cloud storage. Through integration with cloud platforms, devices can achieve cloud-based device maintenance, management, and other intelligent functions. This simplifies operations and management, providing users with a comprehensive and efficient security solution.

How do we ensure the security of our products?

Dahua's network cameras employ a range of advanced security technologies, including security certification authorization, access control protocols, trusted protection, encrypted transmission, and encrypted storage. These technologies enhance the camera's defense against external network threats and prevent malicious programs from damaging devices. Dahua has ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 information security management system certifications, as well as overseas product certifications such as TÜV Rheinland Protected Privacy IoT Service, Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluation (CC), and more. In addition, on the camera side, we have loaded it with privacy mode that users can utilize whenever it’s necessary, effectively stopping all activities of the camera for that extra added peace of mind.
